Recommended Placement & Installation Guidelines
For optimal and reliable coverage, it is highly recommended to install at least one smoke detector on each floor of your building:
-
Minimal Protection: Install in hallways, stairways, and directly in front of all bedroom doors.
-
Extra Protection: Place inside bedrooms (especially if you sleep with doors closed), living rooms, storage spaces, and rooms containing heavy electrical equipment.
-
Installation Note: Mount the unit in the center of the ceiling. Avoid damp spaces, areas directly next to windows/doors, or places near ventilators and radiators. Ensure the device is placed where it can be easily reached for routine testing and battery replacements.
Maintenance & Safety Tips
-
Weekly Testing: Press the integrated test button once a week to verify the alarm signal sounds correctly.
-
Regular Cleaning: Vacuum the casing regularly with a soft brush attachment to prevent dust build-up and maintain sensor sensitivity (do not open the casing during cleaning).
-
Do Not Paint: Never paint over the smoke alarm housing, as this can clog the air vents and impede smoke detection.
